Your Klean Kanteen® is made from thick, 18/8 stainless steel and is designed to be lightweight yet extremely durable. If you take care of it, it may very well last your lifetime. Here are a few tips to help keep your bottle fresh and clean over the long haul.

Classic flasker (3,5dl, 5dl og 8dl)
Your Classic bottle can be put in the dishwasher, but we recommend hand washing coloured bottles in order to protect the paint. A regular dish bush will fit into the opening of the bottle to allow you to scrub the inside walls.

The polypropylene caps (Sport Cap 2.0, Loop Cap) as well as the AVENT tut can be washed in the dishwasher and by hand.

We recommend that you hand wash your thermos bottles and caps. The seals in the thermoses and caps will not tolerate the pressure that some dishwashers have. There is one exception to this - the Cafe cap is made only of polypropylene, and therefore can tolerate washing in the dishwasher. The Cafe cap is also very easy to wash by hand: take the disc off the top by squeezing together the two parts of the knob underneath the cap, then scrub with a brush and warm soapy water.

Freezing - do NOT freeze water in your Klean Kanteen bottles. If you do accidentally leave your bottle in the car on a cold night, the expanding ice can damage the bottle. (If this happens, the bottom of the bottle may expand outwards, meaning that the bottle no longer can sit on a flat surface. You can fix this by pushing the bottom back into shape by hand or by tapping it once firmly with a wooden mallet.)
