Alfabetika is a series of imaginative prints for children. The characters give life to numbers and letters and make learning fun. They are a perfect gift for babies, children and parents. The prints are designed in Paris and signed by the illustrator, Anne-Lise Borgen.
Learning can be fun, colourful and cool! The prints are 40cm x 50cm and fit perfectly into frames from, for example, Ikea. They are printed on 180g matte paper with UV-resistant ink.
A set with two posters (one with the Norwegian alfabet, and one with numbers 0-9) are sold together in this package and delivered in a sturdy cardboard roll.
About Alfabetika:
Alfabetika stands for fun learning. Anne-Lise got the idea for Alfabetika while looking to develop a funny, educational and unique gift for her niece Sophie. She drew the characters by hand on the metro in Paris, before developing them further. All of the characters are inspired of her mixed-breed dog she adopted while living in Los Angeles.
The Alfabetika series includes prints, colouring sheets, wall stickers and decor for a selection of Ikea furniture. These are available through Alfabetika and Happy Art. Later in 2012 the series will be expanded by the release of a shuffle book by the Barnebokforlaget, exhibitions and more surprises. Alfabetika is developed entirely by Anne-Lise Borgen. She was born and raised in Norway in a lovely family, surrounded by dogs and Donald Duck comics. She has a degree from the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles, and worked in advertising in both the USA and Norway. Today she lives and works in a little town on the outskirts of Paris, in an old shop that she and her husband have renovated into an apartment and studio.
